Char-Grill, Raleigh’s landmark hamburger restaurant on Hillsborough Street – may open a second eatery in the area, perhaps as early as next spring.
“We’re looking at a lot of locations,”
Mahlon Aycock said. Aycock said that he and his partner, Ryon Wilder, were looking mostly at sites around Cary and in North and Northwest Raleigh. He said he would like to find some property in the next few months.
Why would Char-Grill, which started business in 1959, want to go the way of the restaurant chain?
“I feel like it’s a good time to do it,” with the area growing so much, Aycock said.
